The Opportunity
A growing structural steel contractor based in Edinburgh is looking to recruit an experienced Tekla Detailer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering commercial and industrial steel projects across Scotland.
You will play a key role in producing accurate 3D Tekla models and detailed fabrication drawings, supporting the smooth delivery of steelwork from design to fabrication.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed Tekla 3D models for structural steel projects
* Prepare accurate fabrication and assembly drawings
* Coordinate with design engineers and project teams to ensure model accuracy
* Identify and resolve clashes or design issues in Tekla
* Support project teams with technical information and detailing guidance
* Maintain accurate records and drawings for fabrication and site installation
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Tekla Detailer within the structural steel industry (essential)
* Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing and fabrication processes
* Ability to produce high-quality Tekla models and drawings
* Good understanding of technical drawings and structural specifications
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively
