Job Title: Construction Superintendent Structural Steel Erection
Location: Virginia
Salary: $127,400 - $138,320 annually Per Diem + overtime
The Role
Join a fast-growing, AISC-certified structural steel company specializing in commercial and municipal projects across Virginia, including data centers, schools, hospitals, and multi-story office buildings. We're looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead our field teams, deliver projects safely and on schedule, and be part of a dynamic, expanding organization.
Day to day:
- Oversee all field personnel and subcontractors on multi-story structural steel projects (2,500-5,000 tons)
- Manage daily site operations and schedules
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct quality inspections
- Coordinate material deliveries and maintain detailed daily reports in Procore
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Lead a team of approximately 25-30 internal personnel and 10-15 subcontractor personnel
Requirements:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in structural steel construction
- 30-hour OSHA certification
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with cranes, forklifts, and MEWPs
- Strong understanding of construction processes and OSHA safety regulations
- Proficiency in Procore and ability to maintain detailed daily reports
- Strong leadership, organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish/English
