An established national industrial contractor is seeking an experienced Steel Erection Superintendent to lead self-perform steel erection projects across the United States. What You'll Be Doing
- Lead self-perform steel erection crews on large industrial projects
- Coordinate cranes, equipment and critical lifts
- Drive project schedules and daily production
- Conduct safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture
- Manage field manpower and subcontract coordination
- Oversee material deliveries and site logistics
- Read and interpret erection and shop drawings
- Work closely with Project Managers, clients and General Contractors
- Resolve field issues quickly to keep projects on schedule
Project Types
You'll help deliver major projects including:
- Distribution centres
- Data centres
- Aviation facilities
- Cold storage facilities
- Industrial and commercial pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) projects
Typical project values range from $5 million to $60 million.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of steel erection experience
- Proven self-perform steel erection background
- Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB)
- Previous experience as a travelling Superintendent
- OSHA 30 certification
- Industrial construction experience
- Strong leadership, scheduling and field coordination skills
