Location: Shrewsbury (Hybrid)

Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Structural Design Engineer with 2-4 years' experience to join a forward-thinking structural engineering consultancy. This hybrid role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects across the residential, commercial, and high-rise sectors, contributing to innovative and sustainable building solutions.

You'll be part of a collaborative design team, working closely with architects, contractors, and clients from concept through to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and develop within a supportive and technically strong environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the structural design of buildings across multiple sectors, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Prepare and review structural drawings and models using Tekla and Autodesk software.
  • Work with materials such as masonry, concrete, and steel, ensuring designs meet technical and safety standards.
  • Support senior engineers in preparing calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Liaise with project teams and external stakeholders to ensure design coordination and accuracy.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving within the team.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2-4 years' experience in a structural design role.
  • Proficiency in Tekla and Autodesk (Revit or AutoCAD).
  • Experience designing in masonry, concrete, and steel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
