Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Strategic Finance Business Partner in Sutton. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours.
The job:
- Apply professional judgement to interpret and apply policies and procedures to meet specific local or service needs
- Provide day to day management and professional supervision to staff to ensure operational plans and activities are delivered effectively
- Lead small projects and implement changes and improvements within agreed cost, time and quality standards.
- Support the Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering to lead and coordinate medium term financial planning for the revenue budgets
- Support and advise senior budget holders to manage financial risk and protect the financial health of the organisation
The candidate:
- Relevant professional qualification (CIMA, MBA, CIPFA, etc.) or equivalent experience
- Experience of working within a business partnering model in a local authority setting and/or complex organisation
- Knowledge of corporate financial management
