Location: Hybrid - Croydon or Sittingbourne (3 days office-based: Tues/Wed/Thurs, 2 days remote: Mon/Fri)
Hourly Rate: £17.00 Umbrella
Duration: 9 weeks (Temporary Contract)
Hours: 35 hours per week

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Service Charge Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the accurate calculation, preparation, and delivery of service charge statements. This is a customer-focused position requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. You'll contribute to the continuous improvement and transformation of the service charge function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Service Charge Analysts with accurate calculation and issuance of estimated and actual service charges.

  • Support service charge payers by delivering a high-quality and timely support service.

  • Respond to customer queries promptly and proactively, providing relevant documentation and updates.

  • Help extract expenditure data from the accounting system and monitor service charge budgets.

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing invoices for external audit certification.

  • Provide support in the production and dispatch of service charge statements.

  • Maintain accurate system records and ensure database information is up to date.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Solid financial and numerical skills.

  • Experience in a housing or finance-related role is desirable but not essential.
