Senior BESS Superintendent, EPC

We are supporting a major industrial EPC programme and are looking to speak with experienced Senior Superintendents with a background across BESS, commercial solar, electrical infrastructure or complex energy construction projects.
This is a field-led role, responsible for driving day-to-day construction activity on site and making sure work is delivered safely, correctly and in line with schedule, drawings, specifications and project expectations.
The successful candidate will oversee in-house installers, subcontractors, vendors and field crews, supporting the deployment and installation of battery energy storage systems, associated infrastructure, solar and medium to low voltage electrical works.
This is a hands-on site leadership role. You will be expected to be present on site during active work periods, leading from the field, identifying issues early, coordinating trades and keeping construction activity moving.
The projects form part of a wider programme focused on building a more sustainable domestic battery and energy infrastructure supply chain in the US. It is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in the delivery of major energy projects with real long-term impact.
The role will involve:
Leading daily field operations across BESS, solar and associated infrastructure projects
Managing in-house installers, subcontractors, vendors and field crews
Coordinating between engineering, estimating, subcontractors and site teams
Ensuring work is completed in line with drawings, specifications, budget and schedule
Planning work methods, labour, materials, equipment needs and production schedules
Managing site access, site works, medium to low voltage electrical work and BESS installation
Reviewing project specifications to support job setup, inspections and closeout
Coordinating with utilities, regulatory agencies, vendors and internal project teams
Promoting strict safety, documentation and process control standards
Supporting workforce development, training needs and daily project reporting
Identifying site issues early and adjusting work plans to reduce schedule or production risk
We are looking for someone with:
12+ years of construction supervision experience
Experience working for a General Contractor, Electrical Contractor, EPC contractor or owner-side construction team
BESS, commercial solar, renewable energy or electrical infrastructure experience preferred
Strong site leadership experience across subcontractors, vendors and field crews
Experience with medium to low voltage electrical work, BESS installation and site coordination
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, standards and contract documents
Strong understanding of jobsite safety, production, inspections and closeout
OSHA 30 preferred
Safety Trained Supervisor certification preferred
Experience with 3D model reviews, Navisworks or clash reviews would be beneficial
Valid driver's licence required
Willingness to travel or relocate to project sites for the project duration
