📍 Projects Across the Southeast | Travel Required (4-5 hours from Birmingham, Alabama)
We're partnering with a well-established commercial contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality retail and commercial projects across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to bring on an experienced Traveling Superintendent with a strong background in ground-up commercial construction. This role will involve traveling to jobsites across the Southeast.
🧰 The Role
As Superintendent, you'll be responsible for leading field operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards. Working closely with Project Managers, you'll coordinate subcontractors, maintain jobsite documentation, and represent the company with clients and inspectors.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys owning the build process on-site, leading teams, and delivering quality commercial projects from the ground up.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Champion and enforce jobsite safety standards
- Oversee daily field operations and subcontractor activities
- Maintain daily logs, reports, and jobsite documentation
- Ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, inspectors, and local authorities
- Lead jobsite teams with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
🎯 What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial ground-up construction
- Proven experience delivering commercial or retail construction projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills on active jobsites
- Ability and willingness to travel across the Southeast
- Retail construction experience highly preferred
