Senior Policy Officer
London Borough of Waltham Forest
£25-£27 P/H (Umbrella)
We are currently looking for a policy and procedure specialist for 3-4 months, and perhaps longer. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working at pace in a housing environment. They should be able to demonstrate experience and skills in developing, producing and writing housing policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will:
* probably start with a short discovery period and then map out a policy and procedure (P&P review schedule, and RAG rate to help prioritise
* be someone who can bring best practice, and schedule and undertake our first P&P reviews for us
* create a centralised knowledge base/document store on SharePoint for all our housing P&Ps
* have a particular focus on reviewing and developing procedures based on best practice and any recommendations arising from Housing Ombudsman determinations and new regulatory requirements
* carry out research and analysis to support P&P development
* provide support for housing improvement projects
