We are supporting a major US battery materials and energy infrastructure business that is looking for a Senior Design Manager to join their EPC team in Nevada.
This is a key role responsible for owning and driving design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development from early concept through production.
You will manage multi-disciplinary design packages, support major infrastructure improvements, coordinate design milestones, manage RFIs and permitting documents, and work closely with process engineering, construction, manufacturing, facilities and production teams.
The role is ideal for someone who understands how to take scattered requirements, turn them into a clear scope, drive 30/60/90/IFC design progress, and keep fast-moving industrial projects aligned across multiple stakeholders.
Key experience required:
Background in engineering, construction, manufacturing, facilities, architecture or project management
Experience managing multi-disciplinary design or engineering scopes
Strong understanding of infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing facilities or tool-install projects
Ability to manage projects from concept, feasibility and funding through design and construction support
Experience with permitting documents, construction documents, transmittals and RFIs
Strong project management skills across scope, schedule, budget and resources
Experience working with design partners, construction teams, procurement and internal stakeholders
Understanding of BIM, lean construction or fast-track project delivery would be beneficial
Degree in Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering preferred
PE or RA licence preferred, but not essential
