Senior Construction Project Engineer, EPC
McCarran, Nevada
$95,000 - $125,000 + benefits + long-term progression
We are supporting a major industrial EPC programme in Nevada and are looking to speak with experienced Construction Project Engineers who want to be involved in the delivery of large-scale, complex construction work from preconstruction through to completion and start of production.
This is not a desk-only project engineering role.
You will be working directly with Construction Managers, Superintendents, trade contractors, engineering, project controls and procurement teams to keep critical scopes moving safely, correctly and on schedule.
The work is part of a major battery materials and energy infrastructure programme, supporting the development of a more sustainable domestic battery supply chain in the US. The projects are fast-paced, technical and site-led, with real ownership given to the people delivering the work.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for assigned construction scopes, including RFIs, submittals, procurement support, scheduling, inspections, cost tracking, subcontractor coordination and daily site progress.
The role will involve:
Managing assigned construction scopes from planning through completion
Working closely with Construction Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors and field crews
Reviewing drawings, specifications, shop drawings and material requirements
Managing RFIs, submittals, procurement requirements and project documentation
Tracking schedule, budget, production and project performance
Supporting field layout, permits, inspections and quality documentation
Coordinating subcontractor work methods, crews and schedules
Identifying risks that could affect cost, safety, quality or programme
Conducting Job Hazard Analysis and supporting site safety meetings
Supporting closeout, punch lists and handover activity
We are looking for someone with:
5+ years of construction engineering, project engineering, scheduling or design experience
Experience working on industrial, manufacturing, EPC, heavy commercial or infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, construction methods and site coordination
Experience with RFIs, submittals, cost coding, schedules and field documentation
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with field teams and senior project stakeholders
The ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced construction environment
A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is preferred
This is a strong opportunity for a Construction Project Engineer who wants to be close to the work, take ownership of real scopes and be part of a major long-term industrial build programme in Nevada.
Relocation support may be available for the right candidate.
