North Northamptonshire Council seeks a committed Street Outreach Worker to support its mission of ensuring rough sleeping is rare, brief, and non-recurring. You shall work across the region, conducting targeted outreach sessions and guiding individuals from the streets into safe accommodation and support.
The Role
Deliver flexible, intelligence-led outreach across known rough-sleeping locations.
Engage rough sleepers, complete assessments, and create tailored support plans.
Provide housing-related support, including help with health, substance misuse, benefits, budgeting and independent living skills.
Work closely with Housing Options, Adult Social Care and wider partners to prevent homelessness and support planned moves from institutions.
Maintain accurate case records and participate in multi-agency meetings.
Requirements
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals in housing or care settings.
Strong communication, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work outside usual office hours for outreach sessions.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Enhanced DBS check required.
