Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator with strong knowledge of fenestration systems and advanced proficiency in Logikal software. The ideal candidate has a background in curtain wall, glazing, and window and door takeoffs, and can accurately interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements. This role is fully remote and requires a self-motivated professional who thrives in a technical, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates for window, door, glazing, and curtain wall packages.
Build and manage estimates using Logikal software, including system configuration, BOM creation, and cost modeling.
Collaborate with internal sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure scope alignment and provide technical support.
Evaluate project risk, lead time, and material requirements to ensure accurate pricing and proposals.
Prepare formal proposals, pricing sheets, and supporting documentation for client bids.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain material pricing and verify product compatibility.
Assist with value engineering and alternative system recommendations.
Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and project documentation.
Qualifications
3+ years of estimating experience within fenestration, glazing, curtain wall, or related building envelope industries.
Required: Proficiency in Logikal software for estimating and system configuration.
Strong understanding of glazing systems, curtain wall assemblies, windows, doors, and related materials.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, structural details, and specifications.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational discipline.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-performance European-style fenestration products.
Familiarity with energy modeling, performance data, and code compliance for windows and doors.
Background working with architects, general contractors, or glazing subcontractors.
