🔍 Key Responsibilities:
✔ Perform welding inspections (visual, UT, MT, PT) per AWS D1.1, D1.5, and AISC standards-ensuring compliance on beams, columns, and connections.
✔ Certify welder qualifications & monitor procedures (WPS/PQR) to maintain AISC & EN 1090 certification.
✔ Document & resolve defects (cracks, porosity, undercut) with corrective actions for welders/fabricators.
✔ Verify material traceability (mill certs, heat numbers) and coating/painting adherence (SSPC/AWS).
✔ Conduct final audits-ensuring steel meets drawings, load specs, and pre-shipment tolerances.
✅ Requirements:
✔ AWS CWI Certification (Required).
✔ 3+ years in structural steel welding inspection (fabrication/erection).
✔ Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1, AISC, NDT methods (UT/MT/PT), and weld symbols.
✔ Ability to read shop drawings, WPS, and enforce QC protocols.
✔ Safety-driven mindset with a focus on zero-defect fabrication.
