🔍 What You'll Be Doing
As our QA/QC Manager, you'll take charge of our Quality Management System (QMS), manage AISC certifications, and set the bar for internal QA excellence.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Leading AISC audit prep and external inspections 🏗️
- Overseeing welding, fabrication, and coating inspections 🔎
- Conducting internal audits & managing quality documentation 📋
- Mentoring future inspectors and building your own QA team 👥
- If certified: performing UT, MT, PT testing (or transitioning us in-house!) 🧪
🧱 What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
- 5+ years in structural steel QA/QC
- Knowledge of AISC, AWS D1.1/D1.5, and blueprint reading
- Strong leadership skills-comfortable running a one-person department to start
- Experience with ultrasonic testing (UT)-hands-on or supervisory
Bonus if you have:
- CWI certification 🏅
- ASNT SNT-TC-1A training
- Experience building out a QA department is preferred not essential
