The Opportunity
A structural steelwork contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a live project in Cork. This is a 6-month contract with an immediate start, ideal for a hands-on Project Manager who can take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring it runs safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full lifecycle of the structural steel project from mobilisation to completion
* Oversee site operations, subcontractors, and installation teams
* Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure programme alignment
* Monitor project budgets, variations, and cost control
* Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures
* Chair site meetings and provide progress reports to senior stakeholders
* Manage programme updates and resolve technical or logistical issues
* Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within structural steelwork (essential)
* Strong understanding of steel fabrication and on-site erection
* Experience managing programmes, budgets, and subcontractors
* Solid knowledge of health & safety legislation and site compliance
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Available for immediate start in Cork
