Project Manager

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Runnymede.
Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week, 09;00 - 17:30.
Main Purpose:
Working with the Senior Building and Projects Manager deliver high quality building surveying service along with project management on all the Council regeneration opportunities along with building surveying and project management expertise. This is to ensures that all operational and investment sites are fit for purpose and comply with statutory guidance relating to properties.
Main Objectives:
- Work with the Portfolio team to advise as assist on dilapidation's, license to alter, defect diagnosis, condition surveys, party wall matters, etc.
- Work with the Facilities team to advise as assist on defects and remedies of complex nature
- Working with our Legal Property Team on collateral warranties claims, development agreement, leases, license, etc.
- Work with the Senior Building Surveyor and Projects Manager to prepare specific minor and major projects and to report on cost, quality and time to senior management on a monthly basis.
- Plan co-ordinate, execute, and manage delivery of major and minor works across the whole of the Council's operational and investment property base to ensure that they meet the required objectives for time, quality and value for money
- Ensure all repairs and improvements are planned and executed efficiently.

- Liaise with external consultants and contractor at all level to ensure delivery of service
- Deliver pro-active, professional and customer focused quality surveying services for all the Council
- properties to ensure that the council's land and property assets are fit for purpose
- To ensure that the surveying activities are delivered in accordance with the Council's policy and relevant legislative requirements. This includes looking at all sustainability issues, obtaining funding if appropriate and ensuring all our properties are health and safety compliant for their current use.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. MRICS, MCIOB, CEng)
- Prince 2 Project Management
- AutoCAD
- Good sound building surveying knowledge with minimum of 3 years post qualification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience of specifying, procuring and managing projects
- Experience of working with contractors, consultants and external agencies Extensive experience of defect diagnosis and identifying solutions.
- Experience of monitoring contract and service budgets, cost analysis and cost reporting.
- Experience of managing contractors quality and performance including performance management in the context of building maintenance contracts, able to establish and monitor effective KPIs and take action to correct under- performance.
