Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. A Project Manager will successfully manage commercial glazing projects from start to finish including purchasing materials, completing product submittals, supervising installations, attending site meetings, scheduling, and customer communication. It is recommended that the candidate should have experience in fenestration products that include Storefront, Curtain Wall, Heavy Glass Partitions, Commercial Aluminum Windows, Clad Wood Windows and Doors. Must be able to manage multiple active job sites throughout the construction process. They will work with our Estimators, Glaziers, and General Contractors during pre-construction, installation, and punch-work phases of projects. They are expected to have specific knowledge and expertise in managing jobs, materials, and customer relations. Position will report to Senior Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Review awarded projects and develop product submittals.
- Engage outside resources to produce shop drawings and engineered product packages.
- Purchase materials for projects.
- Field verify openings for frame and glass fabrication.
- Finalizing frame & glass dimensions for orders.
- Coordinate weekly work schedules for multiple installations.
- Attend site meetings as needed.
- Create field reports, and maintain open communication with customers.
- Managing projects within an assigned budget.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Must be able to use computers proficiently.
- Must be able to measure & check for plumb/level in openings.
- Must be able to read & comprehend paper & electronic blueprints, installation instructions, shop drawings, hardware templates, and test reports.
- Must be able to drive and pass a background check.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 5 years of commercial glazing experience
- Must have a valid driver's license
