Role: Project Executive - Exteriors & Interiors

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite - 5 days/week)

Position Overview

We are seeking an active, hands-on Project Executive (PX) to join our clients in Dallas. This role is fully onsite, five days per week, and requires a leader who is deeply engaged in day-to-day project execution, team leadership, and operational oversight.

The Project Executive will primarily manage projects within the company's Exteriors Division (Division 7 - metal panels), including combined awards across Divisions 5, 7, 9, and 10, while also supporting leadership and operational needs across the broader Project Management teams in partnership with the VP of Operations and senior leadership.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical knowledge, financial acumen, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Portfolio Oversight

  • Provide executive-level oversight for multiple active construction projects, with a primary focus on Division 7 (metal panel systems) and combined-scope projects across Divisions 5, 7, 9, and 10.
  • Remain hands-on and actively engaged in project execution, problem-solving, and issue resolution.
  • Review project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk exposure to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Lead recovery efforts on challenged projects when necessary.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Support and mentor Project Managers and Senior Project Managers across both the Exteriors and Interior divisions.
  • Work closely with the VP of Operations to address leadership needs across the PM teams.
  • Assist with staffing strategies, workload balancing, and performance development.
  • Set expectations for accountability, communication, and execution excellence.

Financial & Risk Management

  • Maintain oversight of project financials, including cost control, margin protection, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Review and approve change order strategies, claims, and contract compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks related to scope, schedule, design coordination, and subcontractor performance.

Client & Internal Coordination

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients, general contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to pursuit strategy, preconstruction planning, and contract reviews.
  • Ensure alignment between field operations, project management, and executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Executive within commercial construction.
  • Strong background managing Division 7 exterior systems, ideally including metal panels.
  • Experience with multi-division scopes (Div 5, 7, 9, 10) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple project teams simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Dallas office five days per week.

Preferred Attributes

  • Highly engaged, proactive leadership style - not a remote or oversight-only role
  • Comfortable stepping into complex or high-risk project situations
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Team-first mindset with a focus on developing people and processes
