Job Role: Personal Adviser

We are urgently seeking an experienced Personal Adviser to join a dedicated Leaving Care Team supporting young people, including Care Leavers with Disabilities (CWD) and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC), as they transition into adulthood.
This is a critical post, covering long-term sickness in the team. The successful applicant must be ready to commence work immediately, bringing both capability and confidence to manage complex caseloads from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality support and guidance to care leavers, including UASC and CWD.
Undertake statutory duties in accordance with the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and related legislation.
Develop, review, and maintain Pathway Plans in line with statutory timescales.
Ensure all young people receive personalised support to maximise life opportunities and successful transition to independence.
Liaise with multi-agency partners including housing, education, health, and immigration services.
Maintain accurate case records using the Liquidlogic Children's System (LCS).
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Personal Adviser within a Leaving Care service is essential.
Excellent knowledge of Leaving Care legislation, with specific understanding of UASC processes.
Strong experience of undertaking Pathway Planning.
Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle, with willingness to travel across the UK as required.
Ability to manage a caseload of 25-30 cases, providing high-quality service under pressure.
Confidence in working autonomously in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment.
Desirable:
Experience using Liquidlogic Children's System (LCS).
Prior experience in high-pressure local authority environments.
