Role Overview
We are looking for a Payroll Pensions Officer to join our HR & Payroll team. You will be the first point of contact for all pension-related queries, ensuring accurate administration, compliance with statutory regulations, and delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary contact for all pension queries, resolving issues and signposting where necessary.
Provide advice to employees and managers regarding auto/contractual enrolment for LGPS, NHS, and Teachers' Pensions schemes.
Ensure compliance with auto-enrolment regulations and statutory deadlines.
Generate and send official pension correspondence in line with legal obligations.
Process pension data service files and resolve any errors.
Maintain and update pension records using iTrent and Google Sheets.
Support the Payroll and Pensions Lead by scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and taking accurate notes.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure the highest standards of data security.
About You
Strong knowledge of workforce pension administration, including LGPS, NHS, and Teachers' Pensions.
Experience handling pension queries and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
Proficiency in using payroll systems such as iTrent and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
