Paralegal - Disrepair Cases

Salary: £200 per day (paid via umbrella company)
About the Role:
Redbridge Council is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Legal Services team, assisting with disrepair cases. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in housing and property law while supporting the council's commitment to safe and well-maintained housing for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist solicitors with disrepair casework, including reviewing evidence, drafting correspondence, and preparing case files.
Conduct legal research relevant to housing and property law.
Liaise with tenants, landlords, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Support case management, ensuring files are accurate and up to date.
Assist in preparation for hearings or settlement negotiations.
Person Specification:
Qualified Paralegal or equivalent experience in housing, property, or public sector law.
Strong understanding of disrepair legislation and processes is desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organised with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
