A leading structural steel fabricator is looking for an experienced steel construction professional to join its team as an On-Site Project Manager / Steel Field Lead.
This is a hands-on field position supporting large, complex structural steel projects across the US, with current opportunities including major data center work.
Most project assignments last approximately 12 months, making this an excellent opportunity for someone comfortable travelling and taking ownership of steel packages in the field.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll act as a key link between the job site and the project management team, working closely with erection crews, subcontractors, contractors and other trades.
✅Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating steel deliveries and material laydown
* Working directly with erection foremen
* Tracking progress, manpower and site readiness
* Coordinating with contractors and other trades
* Resolving missing, incorrect or problematic steel
* Communicating fabrication and detailing issues
* Tracking inspections and punch-list items
* Reviewing extra-work tickets
* Monitoring site safety and project progress

Steel Erection Superintendent
Field Project Manager
Steel Field Lead
Structural Steel Superintendent
You'll need proven experience leading or coordinating structural steel erection in the field, with the ability to read drawings, coordinate subcontractors and solve problems on active construction sites.
