Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor
Location: South Shields
Salary / Pay Rate: £30K - £33K
Job Type: Permanent

The Role:

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health and Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice.
  • Undertake legionella risk assessments to a high standard in line with the latest version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and the British standard code of practice for Risk assessing BS8580-1 2019. Also, the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Carrying out legionella risk assessments manually and electronically.
  • Ensure that Legionella Risk Assessments paperwork and reports are completed correctly and returned within agreed timescales.
  • Where required, attend risk assessment review meetings with Clients.

The Candidate:

  • Experience in Legionella risk assessing.
  • Experience in water hygiene
  • City and Guilds Risk Assessment course (or equivalent).
  • Wide Knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274.
  • Wide knowledge of the British standard code of practice for risk assessing, BS8580-1 2019.
  • Knowledge of the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises.
  • Suitable and sufficient experience working within the water treatment industry.
  • Full driving licence with less than 6 points current or pending & no bans within the last 5 years.
