Role Overview:

Novax Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Officer for Repairs & Voids to join Kingston Council. This role is pivotal in overseeing the delivery of repairs and maintenance services to the housing stock, ensuring high standards of service for both tenants and leaseholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the responsive repairs and maintenance of HRA housing stock and HRA garages.

  • Manage the installation and maintenance of aids and adaptations.

  • Drive the delivery and operation of major void work projects, ensuring properties are repaired and turned around in a timely manner.

  • Oversee contractors, ensuring performance is in line with KPIs and service standards.

  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to your team, ensuring high standards of service delivery.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Contribute to strategic planning, budget management, and the continuous improvement of repairs and maintenance services.

What We're Looking For:

  • A recognized property or construction-related qualification (degree level or significant work experience).

  • Proven experience in planned and reactive maintenance within the housing sector.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Ability to work effectively with external contractors and stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of housing regulations and property management.
