Job Description
Derby City Council is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Information Governance Manager to join its Housing team on a temporary basis to cover maternity/parental leave. Working within Derby Homes, this role requires expertise in all areas of information governance and records management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and deliver information governance functions across the organisation.
Handle requests under:
Data Protection legislation
Freedom of Information Act
Environmental Information Regulations
Subject Access Requests
Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
Draft and review Data Sharing Agreements.
Ensure compliance with the UK GDPR and related legislation.
Support governance-related project work as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in information governance or a similar compliance role.
In-depth understanding of UK GDPR and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Ability to process and respond to complex data requests.
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Working Pattern
Hybrid: 3 days on-site at Derby (London Road), 2 days working from home.
