Pay Rate: £27.00 per hour (via umbrella company)
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
About the Role:
Enfield Council is seeking experienced and proactive Housing Supply Officers to join the Market Management Service within the Housing Advisory Service. This vital role supports the Council's efforts to tackle homelessness by increasing access to good-quality temporary and private rented accommodation.
This is a hybrid position, with the expectation to work one day per week in the Edmonton office, and the remainder from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Secure, renew, and manage leases for temporary and private rented accommodation
Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, agents, and property providers
Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with required standards
Support residents transitioning from emergency or temporary accommodation
Handle landlord and tenant enquiries and resolve complaints
Oversee the handback process for properties, including negotiating to reduce costs
Accurately maintain housing records and data on internal systems
Liaise with internal teams and attend service meetings as required
Skills & Experience Required:
Background in housing procurement, lettings, or property management
Understanding of homelessness legislation and housing standards
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
Confident using IT systems for data entry and case management
Experience resolving tenancy issues and supporting housing placements
