Glazing Estimator

Location: Miami, Florida

Compensation: £75k - $90k

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Glazing Estimator to join a growing specialty construction organization delivering complex façade and building envelope projects across commercial sectors. This role works closely with project teams, design professionals, general contractors, and clients from the preconstruction phase through project award.

The ideal candidate will have experience estimating curtain wall, storefront, window wall, and related glazing systems on large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from plans and specifications.
• Develop accurate project estimates for glazing and façade scopes.
• Analyze project requirements and identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and supplier quotations.
• Utilize historical cost data and current market pricing to prepare competitive bids.
• Track revisions and evaluate scope changes throughout the bidding process.
• Support project teams with pricing for change orders and budget updates.
• Participate in value engineering exercises and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with estimating, operations, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience within the glazing, façade, curtain wall, storefront, or building envelope industry.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and construction documents.
• Experience working on complex commercial construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard estimating software.

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following project types:

• Healthcare facilities
• Hospitality developments
• Mixed-use projects
• Commercial high-rise construction
• Institutional or large-scale vertical construction

Experience with software such as:

• Bluebeam
• Procore
• Adobe Acrobat
• AutoCAD (preferred)
• Microsoft Excel
