Position Overview
The Field Quality Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring project components, materials, and workmanship meet company and regulatory standards. This position conducts inspections, documents findings, and collaborates closely with site teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and detailed inspections of field activities, installations, and materials.
- Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
- Document inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions using company systems.
- Work with field supervisors and contractors to resolve quality issues in real time.
- Assist in quality audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper use and calibration of testing and inspection equipment.
- Maintain clear and accurate records for regulatory and project documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred).
- 3+ years of quality inspection experience in [industry-specific context, e.g., construction, pipelines, fabrication, etc.].
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, codes, and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry codes (e.g., ISO, ASME, AWS, API) is a plus.
- Willingness to work in field environments and travel to job sites as required.
