Core Function:
The Fabrication Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the vessel and tank shop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves direct supervision of production staff, coordination with other departments, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead fabrication personnel, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and maintain manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor product quality, identify areas for improvement, and work with inspectors to ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Report discrepancies and potential delays to upper management to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Assist in employee training, onboarding, and development to ensure alignment with company standards and expectations.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Ability to recognize material defects and improve product quality.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, averaging 50-60 hours per week.
