Job Title: Health and Safety Manager - Structural Steel
Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Health and Safety Manager with a background in structural steel or construction? We're working with a prominent structural steel company in Halifax that is seeking a dedicated professional to lead their health and safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures across the organisation.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide training, health checks, and auditing to promote a culture of safety throughout the company.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address safety concerns and foster best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on health and safety performance.

About You:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in health and safety, ideally in the structural steel or construction sector.
  • Hold either Tech-IOSH or CM-IOSH accreditation.
  • Proven ability to deliver training sessions and conduct health checks and auditing.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in structural steel and construction environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive a positive safety culture within the organization.

Working Hours:

  • 45 hours per week.
