The Role

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Electrician to join North Northamptonshire Council's team. In this role, you will carry out maintenance, repair, and installation work across council-owned properties, ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant electrical regulations. You will be key in providing efficient and high-quality electrical services to our residents.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and routine maintenance in domestic properties.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults promptly and effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations, including BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure minimal disruption to residents.

The Candidate

We are looking for a qualified Domestic Electrician who is proactive, reliable, and focused on delivering excellent results.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Experience in domestic electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Full UK driving license (essential).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

• Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent) qualification.
• Experience in social housing or local authority environments.
