About the Opportunity

An established commercial construction contractor is seeking an Estimator to join its growing New Build Construction team in Atlanta. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented estimating professional with a background in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and interior systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate estimates, reviewing project documents, performing takeoffs, and supporting the pursuit of commercial construction projects across a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software.
• Analyze project requirements and identify scope gaps, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare competitive proposals and bid submissions.
• Work closely with operations and project management teams to support successful project delivery.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and assist with project handovers following award.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Support multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous estimating experience within commercial drywall and interiors construction.
• Strong understanding of drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and related systems.
• Experience using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) is required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience estimating large-scale commercial projects is preferred.
