Job Description: Detailer
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (plus overtime)

Core Function:
To translate design drawings into complete and accurate shop and erection drawings, and direct the fabrication and erection of miscellaneous and structural components.
The Client:
Our client is a leading AISC steel fabricator and erector across the Midwest and has been operating since the mid-1900s.
Responsibilities:
· To provide complete and accurate shop and erection drawings that comply with AISC and IBC codes and standards.
· Review design drawings and identify problem areas before producing drawings.
· Collaborate with design team members, other trades, and vendors to ensure the needs of the project are met.
Requirements:
· 5-years' experience with CAD/conventional drafting preferably in structural steel fabrication/erection. SDS/2 and/or Tekla a plus.
· The understanding of engineering principles, shop fabrication, and field construction practices.
· Be able to read and comprehend technical drawings and specifications.
