The business is looking for someone who can help strengthen quality systems, support fabrication teams and maintain high inspection standards across increasingly demanding structural steel and bridge work.
This is not just a paperwork inspection role.
They are looking for someone who can help drive quality culture inside the shop.
The Role
You would be responsible for:
- Inspecting welds and fabrication processes to AWS standards
- Supporting structural steel and bridge fabrication quality
- Performing or overseeing visual inspections (VT)
- Supporting UT, MT and PT inspection activities
- Reviewing weld procedures, weld maps and fabrication drawings
- Maintaining inspection records and quality documentation
- Identifying non-conformances and supporting corrective actions
- Working closely with shop leadership, project management and fabrication teams
- Helping reduce rework, failed inspections and production issues
What They're Looking For
Must Have:
✅ AWS CWI Certification
Strong Preference For:
✅ Structural steel fabrication experience
✅ Bridge fabrication exposure
✅ AWS D1.1 knowledge
✅ UT / MT / PT experience or certifications
✅ Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld maps
✅ Welding background or strong shop floor understanding

Compensation
- Approx. $40-$50/hr depending on experience
- Estimated annual equivalent of $80,000-$110,000+ DOE
