A local authority in Sutton is seeking a dedicated and proactive Customer Service Adviser to join their Customer Experience Contact Centre for a 6+ month contract. If you have experience in customer service and enjoy assisting residents with a wide range of enquiries, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a variety of resident enquiries via phone, email, and digital channels.

  • Manage complex calls and emails, ensuring professional, timely responses.

  • Provide information and support to residents on services such as Waste, Homelessness, and Highways.

  • Work with other departments to resolve issues and escalate when necessary.

  • Adhere to council policies and procedures to deliver high-quality service.

  • Contribute to improvements in the contact centre for better service delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a Contact Centre or business administration.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle high volumes of calls and emails.

  • Confident in using contact centre technology and digital platforms.

  • Ability to manage complex customer queries efficiently.

  • Flexible working options, including 1-2 days in the office after training.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a local authority environment or public sector.

  • Background in customer service roles with a focus on service delivery.

  • Local knowledge of the Sutton area is a plus.
