Job Summary:

The Structural Project Engineer will manage project designs from submittal through installation, providing technical support, calculations, and oversight. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of structural design codes (e.g., AASHTO, ACI, AISC) and excels in project management, team collaboration, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project workflows, ensuring designs meet best practices for superstructures and foundations.
  • Apply relevant standards (e.g., AASHTO, ACI, ASCE) and maintain engineering policies.
  • Support field teams, visit sites, and address contractor questions.
  • Develop schedules, track deliverables, and ensure timelines are met.
  • Prepare project reports, calculations, and review submittal/shop drawings.
  • Liaise with contractors, owners, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with drafting teams to ensure accurate design details.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in structural design; 2+ years in project management or supervision (preferred).
  • Experience with AASHTO standards and bridge design (a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and G-Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Knowledge of structural materials, fabrication, and drafting.
