🔍 About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead and manage the estimating process for industrial, warehouse, and distribution projects. This role is ideal for someone passionate about precision, collaboration, and delivering high-value preconstruction services in a dynamic environment.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual and detailed cost estimates for both competitive bids and negotiated design-build projects
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs and develop cost evaluations for materials, labor, equipment, and general conditions
- Engage and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain and review competitive quotes
- Develop general condition budgets and assess equipment needs for project success
- Collaborate with management to evaluate and select subcontractors and major vendors
- Work closely with Project Management to align estimates with project proposals and execution plans
- Build and maintain strong industry relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
- Manage multiple estimating efforts simultaneously, ensuring quality and timeliness
✅ Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 8-20 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within industrial, warehouse, and distribution sectors
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam (or equivalent takeoff software)
- Experience or strong familiarity with design-build projects
- Skilled in building subcontractor and vendor relationships to strengthen future bidding opportunities
