Overview
We're working with a well-established structural steel fabricator operating a large-scale facility with a strong pipeline of complex work.
They're looking for an experienced CWI to support and uphold quality across fabrication operations in a code-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect welds to AWS D1.1 / D1.5 standards
- Ensure compliance with codes, specs, and quality requirements
- Review drawings, WPS/PQRs, and inspection documentation
- Coordinate NDT activities (UT, MT, PT, RT)
- Support AISC audits and quality processes
- Manage NCR/CAR documentation
Requirements
- Current AWS CWI certification
- Structural steel fabrication experience
- Strong knowledge of D1.1 (D1.5 preferred)
- Experience with NDT coordination
- Ability to read drawings and weld symbols
