Casework Support Officer - Homeless Services

Location: Hybrid (agile and flexible working arrangements)
Contract Type: Temporary Assignment


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Casework Support Officer to join our Homeless Services team. This pivotal role involves supporting vulnerable individuals and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of casework processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing communications, maintaining accurate records, and assisting colleagues in delivering high-quality support to those in need.


Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise confidently and empathetically with staff, partners, and service users via telephone and email.

  • Accurately record and update case information across systems and spreadsheets.

  • Proactively manage and progress casework queries through to resolution.

  • Draft professional correspondence, compile reports, and ensure documentation is compliant and accurate.

  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.


About You

You will be a highly organised and motivated individual who can demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting people through challenging circumstances. A calm, proactive approach and excellent communication skills are essential.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience within a customer service or administrative role.

  • Experience working in or alongside homelessness or housing services.

  • Strong written and numerical ability.

  • Proven case management experience.

  • Confident and empathetic telephone communication skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
