Casework Support Officer
Location: Westminster Council (Hybrid - arrangement to be discussed at interview)
Contract: 3+ months
Pay Rate: £23 per hour (paid via umbrella company)

About the Role:

Westminster Council is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Casework Support Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. You will play a key role in providing efficient and effective support to casework operations, ensuring that enquiries, correspondence, and service requests are handled promptly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and respond to casework enquiries from residents, councillors, and stakeholders.

  • Accurately log, track, and update cases on internal systems.

  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to gather information and resolve issues.

  • Draft clear and concise written responses and correspondence.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.

  • Support the wider team in delivering high-quality, customer-focused services.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a casework, administrative, or customer service role.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new IT systems quickly.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Additional Information:

  • This is a hybrid role with the exact split between office and remote working to be agreed at interview.

  • The assignment is for an initial period of 3+ months, with potential for extension depending on performance and service needs.

  • Pay is £23 per hour, paid via an umbrella company.
