Job Title: Steel Buyer
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 (+ 10% company bonus potential)

Job Purpose:
Our client is looking to hire an experienced steelwork Buyer to be responsible for the daily procurement transactions for goods and/or services necessary to meet the sales, production, and manufacturing demands of the manufacturing facility in Fort Worth.
Responsibilities:
- Place orders and enter purchase orders based on MRP or other computer system-generated material demands, expedite deliveries and maintain records on purchases in the computerized purchase order system.
- Procure assigned materials and/or services from pre-determined vendors at contracted or best possible cost, while meeting engineering/quality specifications, and delivery date requirements.
- Assist Commodity Managers in seeking new and improved materials that will reduce costs, improve products, or serve as a substitute for scarce items as assigned.
- Coordinate with plant Production Scheduler, S&OP Scheduler, and manufacturing leadership to ensure timely material flow and provide information for accurate production scheduling.
Requirements:
- Experience using an MRP System and PC-based software is required.
- High school graduate with four or more years of fabrication manufacturing-related work experience or two years of college education with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Manufacturing.
