REQUIREMENTS
- For a thorough understanding of the project, conduct a thorough study of all project paperwork, including plans and specifications, schedule, existing control drawings, RFIs, equipment submittals, control diagrams, sequences of activities, etc.
- Design guidelines or specific systems projects (network architecture, system diagram, wiring diagram, bill of materials (BOM), and sequence of operations) that ensure equipment compatibility while adhering to the scope of work and budget specified in contracts and sales estimates.
- Perform drafting tasks in MS Visio or AutoCAD as necessary to prepare submittals, control drawing updates, operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and other engineered drawings precisely and professionally.
- Interpret project materials, estimates, and other information as available to choose the right tools to complete the needed scope of work in the most practical and affordable way.
- Provide and complete project documentation including RFI, submittals, tracking logs, MOP, meeting minutes, and important document filing in job folder as necessary
- Create requests for information (RFIs) to describe design-related problems and, if necessary, provide suitable fixes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience working with HVAC, Automated Logic, Tridium Niagara required. Strong knowledge of other BAS platforms will be considered.
- ALC Controls programming, graphics, database administration, and troubleshooting expertise
- Strong understanding of DDC, HVAC systems and operations, electrical and electronic circuitry, and the ability to read and interpret building blueprints, electrical and electronic diagrams and schematics, and operational flow
- A thorough understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, MS Windows, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, the Internet of Things, file structure, and the fundamentals of TCP/IP network architecture.
- An understanding of how to troubleshoot simple electric and electronic circuitry, including how to read and understand electrical and electronic diagrams
- A practical knowledge of California Title 24, system integration for many building systems, including AC power circuitry, including breakers, multi-phase power, etc. (120 VAC and higher).
- It is preferable to have some programming or ALC WebCtrl system knowledge.
