About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) Localities Officer to join our Safer Communities Team within the Place Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving community safety and addressing antisocial behaviour across Hillingdon.

As an ASB Localities Officer, you will work in partnership with Neighbourhood Police Officers, statutory bodies, private and voluntary organisations, and community groups to reduce crime, disorder, and antisocial behaviour. You will manage individual cases and contribute to wider initiatives that improve community well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support local partnership working, including multi-agency problem-solving meetings.
  • Investigate and manage cases of antisocial behaviour, working closely with residents, councillors, and partner agencies.
  • Prepare case files in line with legal and evidential standards, including gathering evidence and taking formal statements.
  • Utilise enforcement powers under relevant legislation such as the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
  • Represent the Council in court proceedings when required and provide witness statements.
  • Develop and implement locality-based initiatives to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour.
  • Ensure accurate and timely responses to complaints, Freedom of Information requests, and Ombudsman investigations.
  • Maintain robust data management and case recording, ensuring compliance with Data Protection legislation.
  • Contribute to service planning, including identifying emerging issues and suggesting service improvements.

About You

We are looking for a proactive individual who is passionate about making a difference in local communities. You will need to demonstrate:

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., law, housing, community safety) or substantial equivalent experience.
  • Experience in case management and enforcement within a local authority or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of key legislation including the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
  • Ability to collect evidence, prepare case files, and manage enforcement action.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and service-specific software.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with elected members and attending multi-agency meetings.
  • Knowledge of PACE, enforcement concordat, and environmental legislation.
  • A current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
