A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Administrative Officer to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment supporting families and young children. This position plays a central role in ensuring the smooth running of services, offering high-quality administrative, reception, and customer-facing support across several centres.
The Role
You will provide professional and adaptable business support to a wide team, helping to maintain a well-coordinated pathway of universal and targeted services for families. Your work will involve:
Managing reception and front-of-house duties with warmth and professionalism.
Delivering accurate administrative support, including data entry, financial processes, and record maintenance.
Assisting with ordering, invoicing, payments, and monitoring office financial systems.
Supporting multi-agency colleagues and ensuring services run efficiently day to day.
Helping families engage with services, signposting them appropriately, and offering a welcoming first point of contact.
Working flexibly across multiple sites as service needs require.
About You
You will bring strong administrative experience and confidence in working in a busy, people-focused environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Proficiency across Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel .
Experience using client databases and maintaining accurate records in line with GDPR requirements.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging queries and provide an exceptional standard of customer service.
Experience working in a busy reception setting, engaging sensitively with vulnerable families.
Strong organisational ability, capable of balancing competing priorities and working to deadlines.
Experience with financial office tasks, including processing orders, payments, and invoices.
Adaptability, creativity, and a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting new projects.
A commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all centre users.
