Job Description
- To provide high quality, customer focused financial information, training, modelling, analysis, support and advice to stakeholders across the Council, including other finance officers, Council managers and budget holders, to support financial reporting, decision making and budget management.
- To maintain accounting information to assist in the production of accurate and consistent management or financial reporting information.
- To contribute to the mitigation or resolution of financial issues, challenges and risks.
- To contribute to the framework for financial reporting and budget setting, forecasting, control and management within the Council for both revenue and capital budgets.
Experience
- Must have local government experience
- Working knowledge of adults or children's social care.
- Experience of SAP and social care finance systems such as Contract or Mosaic would be useful.
- Should be self-starter
- Should have good interpersonal skills to work with budget holders
