Road and Street Works Inspector
As a Road and Street Works Inspector, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and inspecting road and street works within the Southwark area. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards in road and street infrastructure.
This is a permanent role.
Base Salary : £40,005.00
Top Point Salary : £46,053.00
The Road and Street Works Inspector is responsible for:
- Undertaking the inspection, recording and reporting of street works, highway infrastructure and surface apparatus defects in accordance with street works legislation and associated regulations and codes of practice and other relevant highways legislation.
- Ensuring that all works on the highway are carried out in a safe and legal manner as required under New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and that any breaches are addressed accordingly.
- Preparing prosecution witness statements against illegal and unlicensed activities
Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong background in road and street works inspection.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards related to road and street works.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in the use of relevant computer software and technology for documentation and reporting.
