An excellent opportunity has arisen for a diligent and well-organised Income Assistant to join a busy housing services environment. This role is central to ensuring that tenancy terminations are managed with precision, care, and full adherence to established policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end process of tenancy cessation, ensuring all required documentation is gathered, verified, and processed correctly. This includes matters relating to death, eviction, relinquishment, and abandonment. You will also coordinate the return and accurate logging of keys and fobs, maintain meticulous records, and liaise with internal colleagues to support the smooth transition of void properties.
In addition, the postholder will assist with arranging and conducting property viewings and will provide broader support to the team as service demands require.
Key Duties Include:
Managing all documentation connected to tenancy terminations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to process.
Recording and processing the return of keys and fobs for void properties, ensuring proper tagging and allocation.
Creating and updating void events within internal systems and coordinating with surveyors, contractors, and relevant housing staff.
Supporting the allocation of void properties and maintaining associated databases.
Handling specific termination scenarios with professionalism and sensitivity, including deaths, evictions, relinquishments, and abandonment cases.
Assisting with property viewings to support timely re-letting.
Providing general team support to ensure effective service delivery.
About You:
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
Confident communicator, able to work effectively with multiple internal teams and external parties.
Familiar with tenancy termination processes and associated documentation.
Comfortable using property management systems and digital workflow tools.
Able to prioritise a varied workload and meet service deadlines.
Willing to assist with viewings and undertake occasional travel as required.
