Senior Development Control Officer

We are looking for an experienced and qualified candidate to work within the Contracts and Engineering team to manage and lead the highway development control section.

A suitable candidate will have experience of all aspects of highway development control protocols, knowledge and experience of providing technical appraisals and reports on planning applications relating to the public highway.

Novax recruitment are looking for a Senior Development Control Officer based in Wrexham.

We are looking for:

• An experienced and qualified candidate to work within the Contracts and Engineering team to manage and lead the highway development control section.
• The post holder will possess a familiarity with highways design standards, technical specifications and highways legislation relating to private street works and have the ability to interpret and lead on the suitability of planning submissions.
• A suitable candidate will have experience of all aspects of highway development control protocols, knowledge and experience of providing technical appraisals and reports on planning applications relating to the public highway.

Candidates must have:

• Civil or structural engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Management Qualification or willing to work towards.
• Extensive experience of section 38/378 works and Transport assessments.
• Experience of presenting evidence in court or at public inquiry.
• Understanding of both highways & planning legislation.
