We are looking for a professional Bridging Accommodation Officer to fill a vacancy in Elmbridge.

Bridging Accommodation Support Officer
From: £18.50 p/h
Contract: 36 hours per week
Location: Elmbridge

Roles and responsibilities:
* Providing day-to-day wrap-around support for Afghan evacuees residing in hotel accommodation.
* To have specific responsibility for working with families at the hotel to help them secure suitable longer-term housing to move onto all across the country.
* Advising and educating said refugees on how to secure suitable private-rented accommodation (in particular) and how they can meet the costs of housing and engaging with landlords, letting agents and local authorities.

Experience & Requirements:
* Experience of providing housing advice around housing options and developing and delivery of housing move-on plans.
* A sound working knowledge of welfare benefits and its relation to housing and a good understanding of tenancy law.
* Significant experience in delivering high quality face to face services to the public.
* The role will require working at the hotel and is not suited to home working.
